FontHubs Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to FontHubs (the "Platform" or "FontHubs").

By accessing, browsing, registering, downloading, or using any services provided by the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this agreement.

If you do not agree to any part of this agreement, please stop using the Platform immediately.

We may modify this agreement from time to time as required by law, business development, or operational needs. Changes take effect when published on the Platform. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated agreement.

2. Nature of the Platform

2.1 FontHubs is a font information aggregation, display, and resource indexing platform.

2.2 Fonts, trademarks, names, copyrights, and related intellectual property on the Platform belong to their respective rights holders.

2.3 Unless expressly stated otherwise, FontHubs does not claim copyright, ownership, or exclusive licensing of any font files.

2.4 Font information, license descriptions, tags, categories, and descriptions displayed on the Platform may come from authors, open-source licenses, public materials, third parties, or user submissions, and are provided for reference only.

2.5 FontHubs does not guarantee any font's:

  • licensing status;
  • commercial use rights;
  • copyright ownership;
  • validity of open-source licenses;
  • accuracy of third-party statements;
  • legal usability.

Users must independently verify authorization and license scope before using any font.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Some features may require account registration.

3.2 Users must provide true, accurate, and complete information and keep it up to date.

3.3 Users are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for all activity under their account.

3.4 If you discover unauthorized use or security risks, notify FontHubs promptly.

3.5 FontHubs may, for security, compliance, operational, or legal reasons:

  • restrict account features;
  • suspend services;
  • delete content;
  • terminate accounts;

without prior notice where permitted.

4. Font Licenses and Use

4.1 Different fonts may be subject to different licenses, including but not limited to:

  • SIL Open Font License (OFL)
  • Apache License
  • GPL
  • Free for Personal Use
  • Demo License
  • Commercial License
  • Custom License

Users must read and comply with the applicable license agreement.

4.2 The Platform may label fonts based on public sources, such as "free personal use," "free commercial use," "open source," "demo," or "unknown license."

Such labels are for reference only and do not constitute authorization, legal assurance, or commercial commitment.

4.3 Before using fonts in commercial projects, branding, embedded distribution, apps, SaaS, publishing, advertising, film, games, trademark registration, or similar scenarios, users should contact rights holders to confirm authorization.

4.4 Users bear all legal risks and liability arising from font use.

5. Membership Services

5.1 FontHubs offers free and paid membership services.

5.2 Paid membership provides platform features, including but not limited to:

  • faster downloads;
  • ad-free experience;
  • favorites management;
  • batch operations;
  • advanced previews;
  • personalized recommendations;
  • font management tools;
  • other platform value-added services.

5.3 Membership fees do not grant users any font copyright, ownership, or additional licensing.

5.4 Unless otherwise required by law, membership fees are generally non-refundable.

5.5 FontHubs may adjust membership pricing, features, benefits, or service content.

6. User Conduct

Users must not use the Platform to:

  • violate applicable laws or regulations;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other lawful rights;
  • illegally distribute, resell, or sublicense font resources;
  • circumvent technical or security measures;
  • use crawlers, scripts, or automation to bulk-download;
  • upload viruses, malware, or harmful programs;
  • disrupt normal Platform operation;
  • impersonate others or forge identity;
  • engage in conduct that may expose the Platform to legal risk.

Unless expressly permitted by the relevant font license, users must not illegally redistribute font resources obtained from the Platform.

7. User-Uploaded Content

7.1 If the Platform allows uploads of fonts, files, comments, images, or other content, users must have lawful rights or proper authorization.

7.2 Uploaded content must not infringe third-party intellectual property or other lawful rights.

7.3 Users grant FontHubs a non-exclusive license to display, cache, process, and distribute such content within Platform operations.

7.4 FontHubs may remove any content for legal, complaint, risk-control, or operational reasons.

7.5 Repeat infringers may have accounts permanently terminated.

8. Intellectual Property Complaints

8.1 FontHubs respects intellectual property and complies with applicable laws.

8.2 If you believe Platform content infringes your rights, submit a written notice including:

  • rights holder identification;
  • proof of ownership;
  • links to allegedly infringing content;
  • description of the infringement;
  • contact information;
  • statement of good faith accuracy.

8.3 Upon valid notice, FontHubs may:

  • remove related content;
  • restrict access;
  • suspend accounts;
  • take other necessary measures.

8.4 Malicious, false, or abusive complaints may result in legal liability for the complainant.

9. Third-Party Content and Links

9.1 The Platform may include third-party websites, resources, or links.

9.2 FontHubs is not responsible for third-party content's:

  • legality;
  • security;
  • accuracy;
  • completeness;

9.3 Users access third-party sites at their own risk.

10. Disclaimer

10.1 The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

10.2 FontHubs does not guarantee:

  • continuous availability;
  • uninterrupted service;
  • error-free or virus-free operation;
  • complete or accurate content;
  • commercial usability of fonts;
  • safety of downloaded files.

10.3 Users understand and accept that use of the Platform is at their own risk.

10.4 To the extent permitted by law, FontHubs is not liable for:

  • direct damages;
  • indirect damages;
  • business losses;
  • data loss;
  • lost profits;
  • legal disputes;

arising from use or inability to use the Platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FontHubs's aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by the user to the Platform in the twelve (12) months preceding the dispute.

12. Indemnification

If a user:

  • violates this agreement;
  • infringes third-party intellectual property;
  • uses fonts unlawfully;
  • uploads infringing content;
  • violates applicable law;

and FontHubs, affiliates, officers, employees, or partners suffer claims, losses, penalties, litigation, or expenses (including attorneys' fees), the user shall indemnify and hold them harmless.

13. Service Changes and Termination

FontHubs may at any time:

  • modify services;
  • interrupt services;
  • delete content;
  • discontinue features;

without liability where permitted by law.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.

Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation; if negotiation fails, they shall be submitted to a court with jurisdiction where FontHubs is located.
